Description: Passage of the Moon in front of Mars will occur during the evening hours of December 7. The southeastern states will mostly see the Moon close to Mars but not in front of it. For example, Huntsville, Alabama, will see the Moon very close to Mars at approximately 9:25 pm CST. In Eugene, Oregon, the Moon will occult Mars at 7:45 pm PST on the 7th. The occultation will end at 8:44 pm PST.
