Here, engineers are meticulously adjusting the chassis control systems and the driver assistance technologies of the vehicle. This fourth generation model of the Sports Activity Vehicle, which occupies a prominent position in the premium mid-range category, will soon be launched. It will feature both advanced combustion engines and a sophisticated plug-in hybrid system.<br/><br/>Throughout its development, the BMW X3 has been rigorously tested under a variety of challenging conditions, including snow, ice, and extreme heat, as well as on rough off-road terrains, ensuring its readiness for mass production. The vehicle's practicality and performance have been scrutinized in heavy urban traffic, on serpentine rural roads, bustling highways, and even on specialized race tracks.<br/><br/>The test site in Miramas offers a diverse array of road simulations, including an asphalt oval, a highway ring, and various slalom, serpentine, and circular tracks, in addition to off-road paths and handling circuits with varying surface types. These facilities are crucial for refining the vehicle's acceleration, suspension, dumping, steering precision, and braking capabilities.<br/><br/>In terms of driving dynamics and efficiency, the new BMW X3 is improved by its intelligent use of lightweight materials and aerodynamic enhancements, boasting a drag coefficient of 0.27—a benchmark in its class. The vehicle also features a broader wheelbase and reduced lift at the rear axle compared to its predecessor. Enhancements in body rigidity and chassis integration contribute to the car's improved stability. Changes to the axles' kinematics and elastokinematics, a 19 percent increase in front wheel caster, and a more responsive steering ratio, together with revamped anti-roll bars, significantly enhance the vehicle's directional stability and cornering prowess while maintaining comfort.<br/><br/>Optionally available is an Adaptive Chassis with electronically controlled shock absorbers, allowing for adjustment between two settings via the My Modes function during the dynamic testing phase in Miramas. Standard in this new model is the latest BMW Lateral Dynamics Management, which precisely controls steering torques, wheel slip, and yaw torque distribution tailored to various driving conditions.<br/><br/>BMW's expert engineering ensures that each component of the drive and chassis technology is in perfect harmony, delivering a blend of precision, control, and adaptability that defines the BMW SAV driving experience.<br/><br/>Additionally, the new BMW X3 is equipped with the most recent BMW iDrive system, based on the BMW Operating System 9. _a-new-flagship-new-audi-rs-e-tron-gt-performance-2025.webp "Think Porsche Taycan Turbo S but not quite as badass.<br/><br/>Hot on the heels of the launch of the 2025 Porsche Taycan, Audi is previewing the updated electric sedan version. Just like the Taycan Turbo GT, Four Rings is putting the finishing touches on a new flagship. It is called RS E-Tron GT Performance, reminiscent of gasoline models such as the RS6 and RS7 Performance versions.<br/><br/>Just as the current RS E-Tron GT won't be as intense as the Taycan Turbo S, it won't be as harsh as the Zuffenhausen model. However, there will be a power increase over the 637 hp and 612 lb-ft offered by the current range-topping. Audi is being coy about details (it's a teaser, after all) but is sharing images of a camouflaged car with ceramic brakes hiding behind aero wheels.<br/><br/>The revamped front and rear engines are unlikely to match the Taycan Turbo S's 938 horsepower, let alone the fierce Turbo GT's whopping 1,019 horsepower. We know that Audi engineers made changes not only to the powertrain but also to the battery pack for longer range. For reference, the new Taycan with Performance Battery Plus has a usable energy content of 98.6 kWh, while the base model has a net battery pack of 83.6 kWh.<br/><br/>Charging speed has also increased; This is no surprise considering the latest Taycan can now get 320 kW of power instead of 270 kW. Elsewhere, Audi has developed a new suspension system consisting of four individually active double-valve shock absorbers. This more responsive hardware will be adapted from the new Porsche Panamera. On the Audi, the suspension has been tuned for greater comfort compared to the sharper Taycan.<br/><br/>Audi plans to introduce the 2025 E-Tron GT later this year.
