Description: Nihon Buyo (Traditional Japanese dance) Workshop at Casa de Luz in Austin, Texas, hosted by the Japan-America Society of Greater Austin (JASGA) and instructed by Chizuko Matsumoto-Sensei, of the Hanayagi School.nnIn this video, her assistant, Rie Taneya, performs one of the traditional nihon buyo dances, in which a maiden meets a young man while she is out getting water at a well. She sees him when she looks up at a plum tree. Later they get together and drink sake.
